Youth Groups             Youth calendar/events
    Sparks - Middle School Youth
Our middle schoolers meet a couple of times a month
enjoying games, special projects, and activities. Each year
    they promote and collect the
Soup-er Bowl Hunger Offering, hold a Grinder Sale
fundraiser, serve a meal to our Homeless Youth during
Homeless Awareness and work at the Gifts & Greens Fair.
This year they will also make casseroles for the GWIM Soup
Kitchen and cut out Sole Hope denim pieces to be made into
    shoes for children in Uganda.

    High School Youth -
Our High School Youth are mostly mission minded and
participate in a variety of activities throughout the year
including working at the GWIM Soup Kitchen, collecting
canned goods and donations for the food pantry, spending a
week in the summer as a YouthWorks Team, and
participating in a Homeless Awareness  24 hours on the
Green event (camping out on the Green in the middle of
winter in a simulation event). Check out the pictures....
    Silver Lake
is our summer church camp at Silver Lake Conference Center in
    Sharon, CT.
Many of our children look forward to spending a week at camp; hiking,
swimming, singing, eating, learning, and building relationships with
    one another and with God.

Some scholarship money is available to member's children through
various budgets and organizations of the church.
Summer camps are life  giving and faith changing events.
Check out the Silver Lake website.

Scholarships for Grads!
Annually Wolcott Congregational provides a $500 scholarship grant to graduating
High School Seniors who are members of the church and have been accepted at an
institution of higher learning.

These grants are funded by generous gifts from the Frank and Dora Haggard Scholarship,
individual donations, and various offerings and fund raising efforts including the selling
of gift cards through the SCRIP program! Gift cards may be ordered the second Sunday of
the month and picked up the following week. The church receives a rebate of varying
amounts depending on the % designated by the merchant issuing the card. Check it out.

Sunday School registration for 2019 - 2020 - Any Sunday
Our congregation has been well known for its Sunday School for over two hundred years. The
tradition continues today with over 50 children registered in our Sunday children's and youth classes.
We believe our Christian education begins in the family with our promises at the time of baptism to
raise our children in a Christian home with the help of God and the whole church family. Sunday
School begins in worship with the family and then continues (immediately after the 9:00 am worship
service) in closely graded classes, Toddlers (2's and 3's) through Eighth and Ninth Grade
Confirmation.  (September  through May). Parents (members and non-members) may register their
children at any time throughout the year.
